Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Presentation Mug, Inscribed "Dorotha Kapler / 1866," probably William Macquoid, New York, NY, cylindrical mug with incised and cobalt-highlighted bands, featuring the brushed cobalt inscription "Dorotha Kapler" and date "1866". Handle decorated with brushed cobalt dashes. 3 1/4" and 2 1/2" cracks from rim. Several tight lines in underside, one of which extends 2 1/8" up base and another, which extends 5/8" onto base. Two rim chips. H 5 1/4".
