Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, finely-potted, ovoid pitcher with footed base and flared rim with tooled accents, decorated around the midsection with three brushed cobalt swags, and on the collar with two swags. Additional cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent size and stylish form. Very nice condition with a small chip to base on front, a minor glazed-over base chip on reverse, and a small chip to tip of spout. H 6 7/8".
