One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Clover Decoration, Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, with a brushed double-stemmed clover plant on the front and back. This jar exhibits stronger cobalt and a lighter clay background than is typically found on most Herrmann examples. Excellent condition with a short in-the-firing surface line on interior of rim.
