Two Pieces of Strasburg, VA Stoneware, circa 1865, a small-sized canning jar, stamped "J. KEISTER & CO / STRASBURG, VA," paired with a half-gallon unmarked jar with cobalt swag decoration, attributed to J. Keister & Co., impressed with Jeremiah Keister's half-gallon capacity mark. Canning jar with two chips and two nicks to outer rim, the inner with small chip and minor nick. Half-gallon jar with several rim chips, as well as 6 1/2" vertical crack on side of jar, extending onto underside where it spreads, along with a 1" shallow chip to bottom edge and two much smaller base chips.
