Exceptional Five-Gallon Reproduction Stoneware Churn with Elaborate Snake, Tree, and Bird Decoration, Stamped "R. & B. DIEBBOLL / WASHINGTON, MI," fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid jar with flared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a large snake coiled around the trunk of a tree, attempting to devour a bird. Pine tree and fence in background. Includes six-gallon, 19th century Albany-slip-glazed churn lid, and old wooden dasher. Churn in excellent, as-made condition. Lid with chips.
