Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1870, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and thick spout, the front decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a crested bird with long tail, perched in a stylized branch. Unusual one-gallon size. Iron ping to front. Two small spout chips.
