One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "J. NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1850, cylindrical jug with thick spout, the front decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a crested bird with long tail, perched in a stylized branch. Excellent condition with minor flaws to base and a small spout chip.
