Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Van Schoik & Dunn, Middletown Point, NJ, circa 1855, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a double-stemmed tulip plant with two blossoms and two smaller buds. 5 1/2" Y-shaped hairline on reverse. 5" crack on side of crock, continuing 5" onto underside. A 2 1/2" shallow rim chip and a 1 3/8" rim chip. 1" hairline in rim on front.
