One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1855, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a bird perched on a stylized branch. Excellent, as-made condition with blurriness to decoration.
