Early Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flask, probably New York State, circa 1820, with flattened sides and heavily-tooled neck, one side decorated with a brushed foliate design. In-the-firing dryness to much of surface. Small contact mark to base, and an additional very minor in-the-firing base nick. Chipping to top edge of spout. H 6 3/4".
