Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, Baltimore, MD origin, second half 19th century, with footed base and carved oval-shaped opening at shoulder. Body decorated with a series of brushed cobalt flowers. Cobalt highlight around opening. Hairlines on top surface. Minor base chip, possibly in-the-firing. Diameter 7 1/2" ; H 3 3/4".
