Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Maryland and Virginia origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical stoneware jar with cobalt floral decoration, Strasburg, VA origin; paired with a one-gallon jar with cobalt swag decoration, Baltimore, MD origin. Strasburg jar with cracks extending from rim, as well as additional cracks in base and underside. Baltimore jar in excellent condition with in-the-firing iron spots and some stone pings to surface.
