Glazed Redware Mush Cup, New England origin, probably Massachusetts, early 19th century, with stepped base, flattened rim, and ribbed strap handle, the surface decorated with haphazard manganese brushwork and covered in a clear lead glaze. Chips and wear to rim. Some small glaze flakes to surface. Thin in-the-firing contact mark near base. H 3 1/4" ; Diameter 5".
