Six-Gallon Stoneware Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with freehand vining, stripes, and a "6" flanked by flourishes, the shoulder and midsection decorated with stenciled flourishes. Some wear to surface, scratches to one side, and a salt drip to reverse. Large glazed-over rim chip. Some light wear to one handle and some small chips to opposite handle.
