Stoneware "Top Hat" Canning Jar, Stenciled "A.P. Donaghho, / Parkersburg, W. Va.," circa 1880, quart-sized, tapered canning jar with tooled shoulder and wide "wax sealer" rim, the front decorated with diagonal A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling. Crazing throughout surface, not visible on interior. Wear to interior of rim itself, as well as a chip and wear to interior of inner wax sealer rim. 1 7/8" chip to exterior of rim. H 5 5/8".
