Twelve-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "C.L. WILLIAMS / BEST BLUE STONEWARE / NEW GENEVA, PA," circa 1895, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring desirable "BEST BLUE STONEWARE" stenciling, freehand stripes, and a freehand "12" at base. Tight lines in underside, one of which continues onto base. Small chip to one handle.
