Two Pieces of Western PA Stoneware, circa 1875, a two-gallon cream jar featuring the rare stenciled cobalt advertising "MILLS & CO. / DEALERS / IN STONEWARE / & C. / 85 & Liberts / PITTS"; paired with a two-gallon jar with freehand decorations, stenciled "JOHN P. EBERHART / NEW GENEVA. PA". Cream jar with colored spider cracks to front, including one crack extending onto underside, as well as a 5/8" stone ping on side of jar. Other jar with large base chip, curving crack from rim on reverse, and a chip and wear on interior of rim.
