Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, PA origin, 19th century, an Eastern PA two-gallon stoneware pitcher with rounded foot and heavily-tooled collar, decorated around the body with cobalt swags and hanging flowers. Collar decorated with brushed cobalt leaves; paired with a signed "R.C.R. / PHILA" handled spittoon with elaborate cobalt floral design. Wide crack from rim on side of pitcher, and large glazed-over chipped section to front. Spittoon with significant cracks, damage to one handle, losses to base.
