One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with applied tab handles and squared rim with inner molding to hold a lid, decorated on the front and back with two brushed cobalt tulips and under the handles with a wavy cobalt stripe. Curving crack from rim on one side. In-the-firing flaw to each side. A few base chips. Hairline to underside. Small handle chip.
