Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, slender-bodied pitcher with rounded shoulder and tall, narrow collar, decorated around the body with brushed cobalt tulips. Collar decorated with cobalt swags and hanging flowers. Poorly-restored handle. Heavy chipping to base. Several cracks in underside. 10 1/2" crack extending up front and two shorter hairlines extending up side of pitcher from base.
