Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Advertising Mug, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, late 19th century, cylindrical mug with coggled and cobalt-highlighted bands, decorated with two brushed cobalt tulips flanking the impressed advertising "COMPLIMENTS / OF / JOHN STECK / S.W. COR. / 2ND & NORRIS STS." Advertising mugs of this style with brushed cobalt floral designs are considered rare. Excellent condition with a shallow chip to underside of bottom edge. H 5".
