Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoons, Philadelphia, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, one spittoon with floral designs, paired with a larger spittoon with thick swag decorations. Smaller spittoon with a hairline crack, a glazed-over base chip, and some fry to cobalt. Larger spittoon with heavy chips to base, faint lines to top surface, and minor nick to opening in at center. Diameter (of larger spittoon) 10 1/2".
