Rare Quart-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to G. & A. Black, Somerfield, PA, circa 1865, diminutive jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated entirely around the body with an elaborate flowering vine featuring Black-style hoof-shaped flowers. The smallest example of Black family stoneware we have seen. Rim chips and a minor base chip. 1 3/8" brown glaze drip to side. H 6".
