Two Pieces of Vermont Stoneware, mid 19th century, a four-gallon jar with large cobalt floral design featuring a dotted blossom, stamped "BALLARD & BROTHERS / BURLINGTON, VT;" paired with a four-gallon jar with profuse flowering vine design, stamped "O.L. & A.L. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT". Ballard & Brothers jar with significant damage including a heavily-cracked and taped underside, a shorter crack from rim, and significant repair to rim. Other crock with wide crack on reverse, extending vertically from rim onto underside.
