Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. NORTON & CO. / BENNINGTON VT.," circa 1850, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and semi-squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed floral spray accented with spots. 3" exfoliated area at base on side of jug. 2" shallow chip to edge on underside. Small flake to side of jug. Small base chip on reverse.
