Scarce Redware Plate with Two-Color Slip Decoration, Stamped "W. SMITH / WOMELSDORF," Berks County, PA, circa 1865-1880, the interior decoration with cream and brown slip-trailed designs of clefs flanking three wavy lines. Willoughby Smith maker's mark impressed on reverse. Shallow rim chips. Very tight 2 1/2" and 2 1/4" lines from rim. Some typical staining and light surface wear to interior. Diameter 7 5/8".
