Scarce Redware Plate with Crisscrossed Slip Decoration, Stamped "W. SMITH / WOMELSDORF," Berks County, PA origin, circa 1865-1880, with rounded sides, the interior with crossed pair of wavy yellow slip lines, applied over a rust-colored ground. Impressed with Willoughby Smith maker's mark on underside. Excellent condition with small shallow rim chip. Diameter 8".
