One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock with Lid, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester Co., PA, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with incised shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt flowers on the front and back, and dashes under the handles. Original lid with swag-decorated border and cobalt around the knob. Missing one handle. A few chips to underside of lid.
