Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, attributed to Grier Family, Mt. Jordan Pottery, Chester County, PA, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and back with two clover plants featuring heavily-leaved stems. An unusual ovoid Grier jar with strong decoration. Two chips to each handle. A shallow chip to side of rim and another small rim chip.
