One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Milkpan, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester Co., PA, circa 1875, tapered pan with tooled shoulder, ribbed lug handles, and pouring spout, decorated on the front and back with three brushed cobalt flowers. 6 1/2" crack from rim. A few rim chips. 2 1/4" in-the-firing separation on interior of rim only.
