Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, squared spout, and unusual pocket handles, decorated with an elaborate fan-shaped floral motif on the front and back. Undersides of handles with wavy line decoration. Rim chips. Two chips to one handle. Minor chip to edge of opposite handle. Short in-the-firing line at base, which does not extend through to interior.
