Highly Unusual Ovoid Redware Jar, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.," circa 1880, large, rotund jar with dramatic bulge at midsection tapering at the shoulder to a flared collar. Impressed on underside "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa." This jar measures approximately four gallons. Flake off of interior base connecting to a 3/4" hole in underside plugged with a cork. H 14 5/8".
