Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical, handleless crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and brushed cobalt swag decoration. 3" Y-shaped surface line in underside, not visible on interior. Three rim chips. Some fry to a few groups of swags. H 4" ; Diameter 7 1/2".
