Glazed Redware Potty, Baltimore, MD origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid form with rounded foot, flattened rim, and heavily-ribbed handle, the surface covered in a streaky reddish-brown lead-and-manganese-glaze. Excavated redware potties are difficult to find intact. Provenance: Excavated in Baltimore. Heavy wear to rim, heavy chipping to base, and a hairline. H 4 1/2" ; Diameter 6 3/4".
