Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock with Lid, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1870, tall-sided cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and ribbed handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower on the front and back. Lid decorated with cobalt swags. Chips and significant restoration to lid. Crock with small chip to one handle and light wear to opposite handle, a 1" line from rim, and a few minor rim chips. H (including lid) 9" ; Diameter (including lid) 8 1/2".
