Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, cylindrical crock with heavily-tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt flowers on the front and back. Exfoliation around base. Chip to one handle. 2 1/2" faint line from rim. A few minor chips to interior of rim. H 5 1/4" ; Diameter 8 1/2".
