Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with rounded shoulder and rounded rim with wax sealer interior, the front decorated with a brushed cobalt flower head between two stripes. Glazed-over stone ping on side of jar. Some fry to cobalt. Minor line at base, extending a short distance onto underside. Some fry to cobalt. Small chip on inner wax sealer rim. Small chip to underside. H 8 1/2".
