Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag design between two stripes. Faint Y-shaped hairline on underside. Two stained spots of reverse. Some dryness to surface. H 8 1/4".
