Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO. / GREENE CO. / PA.," circa 1875, cylindrical churn with flared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with freehand stripes and vining, along with a "4" with dashes at base. Rare "GREENE CO." stenciling across midsection. Excellent condition with a small nick to ledge on interior of rim. H 15 1/4".
