Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Slip-Trailed Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "JORDAN," New York State origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and thick spout, decorated with a finely slip-trailed design of an apple above two pairs of leaves. Graduated zig-zagging line with dots to the left. Crisp decoration with excellent color. A few spout chips and a small base chip. H 13 1/2".
