Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Bird Decoration and Boston Advertising, New York State origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and tall, squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fat-bodied bird perched on a stylized branch. Impressed, "JOHN CONLON & CO / GROCERS / Wine & Spirit Merchant / 210 Lincoln St BostoN." Small chips to spout. Otherwise excellent condition. H 15".
