Three-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Large Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1855, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, decorated with an artistically slip-trailed floral design accented with dotted trails. Excellent color. Base chip. Chip to interior of rim. Heavy chipping to ledge on interior of rim. Some scratches to cobalt. H 14 3/4".
