Large-Sized Alkaline-Glazed Southern Stoneware Jar, possibly Edgefield, SC or Alabama origin, 19th century, ovoid jar with large tab handles and flared rim, covered in a colorful pale green alkaline glaze. 2 1/2" loss to rim. Other rim chips. Bumps to surface. Base chips. Lines to surface extending upward from base. Flake to underside of one handle. H 16 1/2".
