Scarce Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with four large tulips, one on each side, and one under each handle. Exceptional small size and excellent decoration. Sealed crack extending downward from end of one handle onto underside. Small stone ping to one handle. Chip to opposite handle. Shallow chip on top of rim. Other small rim chips. A few small chips to edge on underside. H 8 1/2".
