Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Butter Crock, Western PA origin, circa 1875, small cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled foliate design across the front. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. Shallow base chip. 2" and 3 3/4" hairlines from rim. Wear to rim and other light wear to midsection. H 4 1/2" ; Diameter 7".
