Early Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr., Manhattan, NY, circa 1815, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag design. Handle chips. Thin cracks to base area, one of which extending onto underside. 7/8" and 3/4" stone pings near base. H 12".
