Extremely Rare Glazed Redware Pan, Stamped "HOW & Co.," possibly Athens, Greene County, NY, circa 1805-1813, with flared sides and rounded rim, the interior coated in a heavy lead glaze. Impressed with the unique maker's mark "HOW & Co." on the underside, possibly referring to the firm of Thomas Howe & Co. of Athens, NY, which Nathan Clark was involved in. Large flakes to interior. Rim chip with 4 1/2" hairline extending downward from it. H 4 1/2" ; Diameter 13 1/2" .
