Westerwald Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Bird Decoration, 19th century, ovoid jar with open loop handles, decorated on the front and back with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a large bird perched on a flowering plant. Additional floral decoration under each handle. Sealed 7" inverted Y-shaped crack from rim. Two base chips. H 12 3/4".
