Stoneware Face Jug, Incised "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA, 20th century, wheel-thrown jug with applied facial features, including pointed nose and protruding ears. Kaolin eyes have pupils painted on the far edge of each eye, creating a dazed or baffled expression on the face. Surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze. Incised "Lanier Meaders" on underside. Mint condition. H 10 1/2".
