Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "M. WOODRUFF / CORTLAND," NY State origin, circa 1867-1869, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles, decorated with two brushed cobalt tulips extending from a slip-trailed stem. Asterisk impressed below Cortland stamp. Fry to cobalt. 4" line to left of one handle. Chip to interior of rim. Small handle chip. H 10".
